On Blogging

I'm not a very inspired blogger. I've tried to write posts like many do, with deep meaningful insights on something or other and I JUST. CAN'T. DO IT. Its ends up sounding ridiculous. Disorganized, blathering, uneducated, one-sided nonsense.

I envy people who can string lots of words together and have it sound good. I just don't have that gift.

But Tanya, aren't you trained in Journalism, you big flake?

Um, yes. But that's different. Plus, I'm trained in radio/tv journalism, which stresses the use of less words, not more. And (in tv) the use of pictures to tell the story. Maybe that's why at least 80% of my posts consist of mainly photos.

Who knows…maybe someday I'll get struck by lightning and *poof* I can write good. (yes, I did that on purpose…I'm not that thick…) Until then, you'll have to be satisfied with kids, cats and the occasional blathering about environmental something or other. And lots of photos…hopefully soon.

With our move coming up very soon, so I've been spending a lot of my time turfing binders full of crap that have followed me from office to office for four years. Stuff that no longer has relevance to the work I'm doing now, and certainly has no historical value. So I haven't spent as much time "writing" as I'd like. Read: I haven't been slacking as much as I'd like. *ahem* But never fear! In the next month (hopefully) I'll be installed in my new digs and can go back to slacking for half the day. 'Cuz I know you're all DYING for more photos. ;)
